Crock Pots
I have been wanting a new Crock Pot. And I almost bought one at Sam's the other day, but it wasn't what I really wanted. So yesterday I was in WalMart and found this lovely.

Typical of Walmart the advertised price was $39.88, but when I went to take it off the shelf the shelf tag said $29.88. So guess what it rang up? Suprise $29.88!! (It was the last one on the shelf)
I love this one it is 6 qts, has a connected lid (that you can disconnect) and it's programmable. At the end of the programmed time it automatically changes to warm. Of course you can remove the pot for easy washing and the lid also secures for easy transporting.
I saw this lady on GMA the other day check out her website for tons of Crock Pot recipes http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/
I love to fix dinner in the AM so it's ready when I come home in the PM!!

Recipe for Success in 2009
This was sent to me by a friend. Thankfully it didn't say send this to 10 people or.... (I hate those! and please don't ever send me any) My goal this year is to be more organized and read my Bible every day. Hey well that leads me into #1
1. Read your Bible and talk to God about what is going on in your life. He will always listen to your heart.
2. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, 'My purpose is to __________ today. I am thankful For______________'.
4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
5. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.
6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
8. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.
9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
10. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
11. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
12. You are not so important that you have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
13. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
14. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
15. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years, will this matter?'
17. Forgive everyone for everything.
18. What other people think of you is none of your business.
19. GOD heals everything in His time - but you have to ask Him.
20. However good or bad a situation is, it will change. This too shall pass.
21. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and family will. Stay in touch!!!
22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
23. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I am thankful for ________. Today I accomplished _________.
24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
25. When you are feeling down, start listing your many blessings. You'll be smiling before you know it.
I can't begin to tell you how GOOD God is!!! Thank you Lord for your goodness, mercies and grace you give to Me everyday, even though I don't deserve it!

Fabulous Blog Alert
As the Mother of a (gulp) "teenager". Which is a word I hate to use, because of the negative connotations. I really prefer the term "young adult".
Anyway, I found this great blog. And if you have a "young adult" living in your house, I would recommend, highly, that you read it!!
www.virtuealert.com
So great I even ordered the book, "5 Conversations You Must Have With Your Daughter". I'll let you know what I think when it comes in. Oh how I love Amazon Prime!! Fabulous in this "I want it now" society we live in. Go to the web site blog and check out her Nov 11th entry, there is an exert from the book.
