Old becomes New

I bought this buffet about 6ish years ago from a family friend.  I loved the lines of it and love the family history that came with it.  Well it sat in my dining room, looking old, cause it is.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it, I just knew it needed something. So here is the before pic.  It sanded down so nice and easy, since it didn't have deep carvings.

During!

And After!  I love it!  I painted the entire buffet with Martha Stewart Interior Paint color Francesca, I wanted black but not black black, this was a nice medium black. And then I brushed Martha Stewart Anchor Grey Metallic paint to antique it a little.  Just to give it a little dimension.
I love this paint!!  It went on so easy, coverage was great! So there it is my very old buffet made new!

Oh Baby What Polish!!!

Finger nail polish has not been my friend..in the past.  I would  base coat, color, top coat.  And the next day I could just peel all the applications off in one scoop.  Very frustrating!!!
I could get it to maybe stay on for about 3 days if  before the base coat I would clean the nail with witch hazel.  Wow polished nails for 3 days.
Now I have bought all brands of polish (and no not the grocery store brands) and got the same results.
Until I found Zoya.
Well, it wasn't great to start with.  I could get the 3 day thing with them.  I really like the brush on this product.  I first found them on Facebook when they were running a get 2 or was it 3 polishes free, just pay shipping.

Well the other day I finally bought their "anchor" (that's what they call it) base coat product.  And wow oh wow is it ever an anchor.  My polish lasted a week!  And this was with no top coat.  Well the tips did wear down a little, you know washing those pesky dishes, but no peeling.

So yesterday I went to Whole Foods (I love that store, especially the smell of lavender in the air) and bought the "Armor", top coat.
There is no going back once you have found the perfect combination and products.  I'm a firm believer in using products from the same line.  They are just made to work together!  Especially when it comes to skin care.  But that's another subject for another day.
You can buy Zoya products at Whole Foods or online at www.zoya.com
