Forget Halloween this is WAY More Important!

I noticed this morning that my calander didn't say Halloween for October 31st it said Reformation 1517. So I www.goodsearch.com it. And here is what I found...

The Reformation began on October 31, 1517, when German monk Martin Luther nailed his 95 Thesis to the Castle Church door in Wittenberg, Germany. This was one of the greatest events of the past 1,000 years.

Martin made a translation of the Bible from Greek and Hebrew into German. Soon all the countries of Europe followed his example by translating the Scriptures into their languages. For the first time in history, the recently invented printing press made the Word of God available to all the people.

When he was commanded to appear before Emperor Charles V to answer for his writings, Saint Martin gave this fearless reply:

"I cannot submit my faith either to the Pope or to the Councils, because it is clear as day that they have frequently erred and contradicted each other. Unless therefore, I am convinced by the testimony of Scripture ... I cannot and will not retract ... Here I stand, I can do no other. So help me God, Amen."

At this time the Catholic church didn't want "ordinary people" reading the scriptures. So this was important in getting the Bible into our hands. So go read your Bible!! God's love letters to us!!

My 1st Amendment Rights

This picture reminds me of how I felt when someone STOLE my Lyle Larson sign out of my yard. How dare you!!! I would never in a million years take a Zero Rodriguez sign out of your yard. And I don't think anyone that would vote for Larson would steal one either. Humm it must go along with the party!
I also just heard on the radio about a man that has had 6 McCain/Palin signs stolen so he wired his signs with a dog zapper. How appropriate! And put up a camera to record the crime. A young boy came up and was going to replace his sign with an O sign. The boy got a zap. Okay get this. He went home and told his Dad. And instead of his Dad saying why were you stealing?? He reafirmed his son's delinquint behavior and called the media and police.

Fair is Fair!

Fair is fair, but only when it applys to others. Right O.

What Redistribution of Wealth Really Looks Like

I saw this today and thought it was very well put!

WHAT REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH REALLY LOOKS LIKE

(interesting e-mail from an anonymous person)

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on an Obama 08 tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need -- the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experience I realized, the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

It Won't Cost You A Dime!

I lovED Google! I would tell you to "make sure you Google that before you send it out!" (one of my pet peeves is people that send out emails about something and don't confirm if it 's true)

Anyway. Recently I heard that Google had thrown their hat into the ring in opposing Porp 8 in California. The vote to save Marriage. So I knew I just couldn't support them anymore. Then I found out about www.GoodSearch.com

So if you know me you know I love BGMC. I collect Box Tops for Education, used ink cartridges and used cell phones along with the change that the kids bring every 2nd Sunday of the month. BGMC is a way to teach kids to have a love for Missions and in turn helps our Missionaries get the things they need to be successful.

So I went to www.GoodSearch.com and signed up so we can start earning extra money.

How do I help you Sandy, you ask! Well it's very easy. Go to www.goodsearch.com and in the second box (the first is where you enter what your searching for) type in San Antonio First Assembly of God (they couldn't put in BGMC) Click on Verify. And it will stay there and every time you do a search BGMC gets a little bit of money.

So Start using GoodSearch for ALL your searches! Pass this on to your friends! The more the better! So now I will say "Did you Good Search that"?
Thanks for your help!

Sandy

P S You can also buy things from major retailers and we will get a little from that. Like if you buy something form Target online and it is $127 we will get about $4.44. There is a link at the top of the goodsearch page.

New Shoes

I had to clean out my closet the other day because we got new carpet. So while I was sorting and cleaning, I donated a big bag to Goodwill. SO since I had all that new found room in the closet.....
I bought these

I wanted a couple of pair of shoes I could wear with a skirt. With not to high of a heel. So I also bought these. Which I love!

Just go Vote

"I have never seen an election where coverage was so one-sided and biased or where censorship by the liberal media was so widely practiced and where media coverage was so slanted as I have seen in this election process. Their plan is working. The only chance conservatives have is to make sure they care enough to vote.

If the liberals win the upcoming election, America as we have known it will no longer exist. This country that we love, founded on Judeo-Christian values, will cease to exist and will be replaced by a secular state hostile to Christianity. This “city set on a hill” which our forefathers founded, will go dark. The damage will be deep and long lasting. It cannot be turned around in the next election, or the one after that, or by any election in the future. The damage will be permanent. That is why it is so important for you to vote and to encourage friends and family to vote. This is one election where your vote really counts."

Born alive baby killed at abortion clinic, gets proper funeral

A Florida baby who was born and died in an abortion clinic will finally be buried today in Ft. Lauderdale.

Cheryl Sullinger of Operation Rescue explains the African-American baby named Shanice Denise Osbourne was born alive two years ago at an abortion clinic. Christian Newswire reports that Shanice's mother went to the clinic after experiencing some discomfort, and the clinic staff decided to deliver the baby. When Shanice was born, her mother noticed her gasping for air for nearly five minutes while the clinic staff panicked. Abortionist Belkis Gonzales then put the baby in a biohazard bag and put her on the clinic's roof "to conceal her body from police." Allegedly, there was no attempt to save Shanice's life.

"That baby was swept into a biohazard bag with some caustic chemicals and tossed up on the roof of that abortion clinic to die," Sullinger explains. "It was done in a panic, I think, by clinic workers because the people who delivered this baby alive during an abortion were not medical doctors; they were unlicensed women who just happened to be working at the clinic at the time."

Doctors performed an autopsy that Shanice's lungs "contained gas bubbles and floated," which proved she was alive and breathing at birth. Meanwhile, an investigation may soon bear fruit. "We have every confidence there will be criminal charges in this case by the end of next month," Sullinger contends.

She rejoices that the clinic has been closed. It was owned by Gonzales, a woman with no medical background. Sullinger says Dr. Alan Keyes will give the eulogy at Shanice's funeral.

Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, is thankful Shanice will "finally be laid to rest with the dignity and love she was denied in her short life" and hopes her killers will be brought to justice. He adds that the public is encouraged to attend the funeral in hopes that the African-American community will stop the "exploitation and decimation of their community by predatory abortionists."
