Springtime In Paris ~ Complete~ Almost

I finally got all the painting done. But I only did two walls.  I figured if I did all the walls it would be to much and just look like a trapped mad man scribbled all over the place.
All though I have stenciled before, this stencil was a bit more difficult due to the small spaces of the letters.  I didn't dilute my paint, it was straight Sherwin Williams.
 I LOVE the the results!!
I did more of a washed out look.  My walls were not smooth enough for the definite, bold, look.  And this looked worked better with my decor.
I am undecided on towels.  For months I have looked for brown towels, not so easy to find, most looked washed out or had a red tone to them.  Now I am wondering if I should do with the wall color. I'm thinking the brown will look like big fat bricks on the wall, and I don't want to introduce another color.
 What do you thing?
Brown or the blue-greeny wall color?
See the towel bar in the picture?
Well that's it for now!  Hopefully in the next few weekends I can wrap this all up and get back to a good book. Let me know what you think.

I'm Going to Finish this Weekend ~ for sure!!

Well life got in the way of last weekends finish up!!  But it was all good!!! More on that later.
I have been slowly working on this project, I really need to let the stencil completely dry between applications now.
So the next thing I need to do is work on the outlet switches.  WELL.... I came upon this little diddy today!!  Covering Outlet Plates
Right now the plates are all stark white.  Which isn't bad since there is a lot of white in the room,  But I think a more blended look would work better.

Hopefully, I will post the finished project on Monday!  Yes I'm ready for it to be over.

Just a little delay

I know I said I would be back on Monday with pictures.  But it is taking me a little longer than I thought to do this.  I also decided to do two walls.  This stencil has a definite learning curve.  I should finish this weekend, that means having all the towel bars back on (one which the screw doesn't seem to want to cooperate) and touch ups done.  Since the letters are "narrow" sometimes I get a little paint bleeding and have to go back and touch up with the wall color.  But here is a picture before any clean up.  I'm loving it so far! Yea I'm not one to just show you the perfect finished project.  I show you how to do it and what to do to fix it.

Springtime In Paris

Isn't that a wonderful thought!!!  Springtime in Paris!  Well, since I can't go, I'm going to put beautiful French words on my bath wall.
It has been almost 5 years since I stenciled the bath, I thought it needed a new look.  And I was forced to do it....but that's another story.  This is the look before...

I recently entered a drawing over at The Magic Brush and won a stencil from my FAVORITE stencil company!  Royal Design Studio. Go check out these 2 fabulous websites and VERY talented women!

So this is the stencil I chose as my prize. Springtime In Paris

I have tested it finally figured out how, and with what color to proceed.  Now I just need to get over to Sherwin Williams and purchase my paint. This is my wall color "Aqua Sphere" 7613  from SW.  I'm going to do the letters in "French Roast" 6069, a dark brown.  Now to decide do I want the letters matte or semi gloss, I'm leaning toward matte.

So I have my stencil placed and ready to go.  Keep your fingers crossed for me this weekend!!!  See you on Monday hopefully with a finished wall!
