Purex Crystal Softeners

I tried a new product yesterday, Purex Crystal Softener. As you know here in South Texas we have wonderful water, BUT, very hard water. With this product you put it in your wash tub as your starting the water, before any clothes. As the crystals dissolve they soften the water and infuse the it with scent, in my case Lavender. You still have to add detergent but no fabric softener.

Loved it! I washed my bed sheets. They came out of the dryer with a soft scent of Lavender. And as I snuggled down in for the night I was lulled off with the sweet scent.

Simplicity

I haven't been much in the mood to sew lately! I've just done a few crafts here and there. But I bought this pattern yesterday and can't wait to get started. I want to do view A for the summer and view B for now.
I'm getting ready to go cut it out and start a muslin. Wish me luck. And please Simplicity do not use that wig on anyone else.

Working Class

I just previewed the new show "Working Class" debuting on CNT Januray 28th
Very funny!! I loved Melissa Peterman on "Reba". Now she has her own show with
Ed Asner!!
Even though it was the debut show, it played out very easy. Usually the first all boring (like the one that just debuted on TVLand "Retired at 35, couldn't even finish that one) but this introduces the characters like you already knew them.
Tune in Friday. You won't be disappointed.

Here is a synopsis

"Working Class" follows Carli Mitchell (Melissa Peterman), a single mom from a rough and tumble background, trying to give her three kids a better life by moving them to an upscale suburb. She quickly finds that making the transition to “the good life” is harder than she thought.
She's unwittingly befriended by her cranky neighbor, Hank (Ed Asner), her only “career” prospect is a glorified deli job at the local grocery store, and the man she falls for not only already has a girlfriend – but he’s also her boss, Rob (Patrick Fabian). With her ladies-man brother, Nick (Steve Kazee), to help her out (when he’s not acting like one of the kids himself), Carli faces the challenges of parenting, dating, and making friends in her new community by doing more with less, staying true to herself and approaching each day with a touch of working class.
