New Shoes

I had to clean out my closet the other day because we got new carpet. So while I was sorting and cleaning, I donated a big bag to Goodwill. SO since I had all that new found room in the closet.....
I bought these

I wanted a couple of pair of shoes I could wear with a skirt. With not to high of a heel. So I also bought these. Which I love!

Just go Vote

"I have never seen an election where coverage was so one-sided and biased or where censorship by the liberal media was so widely practiced and where media coverage was so slanted as I have seen in this election process. Their plan is working. The only chance conservatives have is to make sure they care enough to vote.

If the liberals win the upcoming election, America as we have known it will no longer exist. This country that we love, founded on Judeo-Christian values, will cease to exist and will be replaced by a secular state hostile to Christianity. This “city set on a hill” which our forefathers founded, will go dark. The damage will be deep and long lasting. It cannot be turned around in the next election, or the one after that, or by any election in the future. The damage will be permanent. That is why it is so important for you to vote and to encourage friends and family to vote. This is one election where your vote really counts."

Born alive baby killed at abortion clinic, gets proper funeral

A Florida baby who was born and died in an abortion clinic will finally be buried today in Ft. Lauderdale.

Cheryl Sullinger of Operation Rescue explains the African-American baby named Shanice Denise Osbourne was born alive two years ago at an abortion clinic. Christian Newswire reports that Shanice's mother went to the clinic after experiencing some discomfort, and the clinic staff decided to deliver the baby. When Shanice was born, her mother noticed her gasping for air for nearly five minutes while the clinic staff panicked. Abortionist Belkis Gonzales then put the baby in a biohazard bag and put her on the clinic's roof "to conceal her body from police." Allegedly, there was no attempt to save Shanice's life.

"That baby was swept into a biohazard bag with some caustic chemicals and tossed up on the roof of that abortion clinic to die," Sullinger explains. "It was done in a panic, I think, by clinic workers because the people who delivered this baby alive during an abortion were not medical doctors; they were unlicensed women who just happened to be working at the clinic at the time."

Doctors performed an autopsy that Shanice's lungs "contained gas bubbles and floated," which proved she was alive and breathing at birth. Meanwhile, an investigation may soon bear fruit. "We have every confidence there will be criminal charges in this case by the end of next month," Sullinger contends.

She rejoices that the clinic has been closed. It was owned by Gonzales, a woman with no medical background. Sullinger says Dr. Alan Keyes will give the eulogy at Shanice's funeral.

Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, is thankful Shanice will "finally be laid to rest with the dignity and love she was denied in her short life" and hopes her killers will be brought to justice. He adds that the public is encouraged to attend the funeral in hopes that the African-American community will stop the "exploitation and decimation of their community by predatory abortionists."

Well - Well

Okay so it's been a long time since I wrote. I have sewn a few things. I will have to take some pictures.
But my latest obsession is getting a complete set of tea stuff together. I had bought 8 beautiful Royal Albert Lady Carlyle tea cups a few years ago. But I had no saucers for the cups. I found the tea pot and cream and sugar, but I had no plates. Now I don't go for the matchy, matchy type stuff, but I wanted this to match and later I will add pieces to it. So I just went ahead and bought the dinner set to go with it. I was going to sell the dinner plates on ebay to get some of my money back, but I discovered that they fit perfectly on my 3 tiered stacker. So I will just sell the 4 tea cups that came with the set. So now - YEA - I have, salad plates, bread and butter plates and tea cup saucers!!!
I also found this wonderful blog so go check it out and start your own obsession. http://ncmagteawithfriends.blogspot.com/

Writer's Strike

So they say the writer's strike is over. Big deal. I liked the strike! Now not that I watch that much TV but it sure was nice having a Summer break in the middle of Winter. You know that time when your not a slave to the TV. I do love my DVR! Fast forward right through those commercials.

So you writers just keep on striking, or maybe try living in the real world instead of your union world. Yea life it tough! I'm happy not watching TV. So now I'm down to about 4 shows that I will always watch, I've lost interest totally in the other 2. Gotta love that Project Runway. I so make me want to get back into the sewing room! I'm pulling for Chris!

Ho Hum....

So I've been in a slump lately. Not wanting to do anything! I did manage to sew up some curtains for my dining room. I'm thinking some cocoa colored paint in the room with some stenciling in the corners and a little on the ceiling.

I'm working on the curtains for the study. My original idea didn't work out so I'm having to rethink that area.
Maybe the little elves will come in this weekend and clean my house and finish all my curtains for me. So I can move on to the sewing I like to do!
